I upgraded my ubuntu few hours back from 11.04 to 11.10 ; it all went fine. After the upgrade I noticed that Quanta - my favorite php development tool had vanished. Doing few searches on google lead to the information that its now deprecated and not maintained in the repos anymore.
So I got it back from elsewhere, and this is how you do it :
1. We need to get back the packages from the previous ubuntu's repos. Thats all.
2. Visit this page http://packages.ubuntu.com/natty/allpackages.
3. Download these packages :
libavahi-qt3
http://packages.ubuntu.com/natty/libavahi-qt3-1
kdelibs4c2a
http://packages.ubuntu.com/natty/kdelibs4c2a
kfilereplace-kde3
http://packages.ubuntu.com/natty/kfilereplace-kde3
klinkstatus-kde3
http://packages.ubuntu.com/natty/klinkstatus-kde3
kommander-kde3
http://packages.ubuntu.com/natty/kommander-kde3
quanta
http://packages.ubuntu.com/natty/quanta
4. Thats all , now installed the deb files one after another in the sequence you downloaded them. All installations should go fine and you should get back quanta.
Enjoy!!
