Bailey Zimmerman is an American country singer and songwriter. He is the first country singer to become a star overnight through TikTok. One of his songs, "Rock and A Hard Place," was nominated for the "Male Video of the Year" by the CMT Music Awards.
Early Life
Bailey Lynn Zimmerman was born on January 27, 2000, in Louisville, Illinois. He credits his father for introducing him to country music, as his father always played country music in the car. Bailey also credits his success to his mother, Kristi Bailey Haeer.
Although it is known that his father was in the trucking business, he has not disclosed much about his early childhood. The family lived in Louisville, Illinois.
Bailey has an older brother and a younger brother. Unfortunately, his parents separated while Bailey was still young, and their mother had to raise them alone.
Bailey graduated from North Clay High School in 2018. His first job was at a meat processing plant before he moved to gas pipeline construction. However, he returned home soon to be near his mother and built custom trucks in his brother's shop.
Career
Bailey's musical journey started with learning to play the guitar at nine. When he was a teenager, his mother introduced him to several Pop metal bands. She also took him to his first concert to watch Tesla at 12.
Shortly after high school, he started recording himself singing while working at his elder brother's shop. In December 2020, Bailey recorded himself singing "Never Comin' Home" and shared the song on his TikTok account. Within five hours, a song snippet had over a million views.
This incident gave Bailey the confidence to book a Nashville studio to record the track. He released the debut single "Never Comin' Home" on February 3, 2021.
The song was listed among the top 20 on Spotify's Viral Chart in the United States. Later, in August 2021, Bailey signed with The Core Entertainment and 10th Street Entertainment for management.
Bailey's net worth is around $2 million as of 2024. Most of his income comes from his Warner Music Group Corp recording contract. He also earns from his music through Spotify and other digital music streaming services.
Bailey's concert tours also earn him a substantial income as they draw huge crowds. His tour tickets cost an average of $30. He also earns from performing in other events. His YouTube channel, where he uploads his songs, has over 536k subscribers and gets earnings, too.
He also earns from his Instagram page, which has over 1.5 million followers. He has monetized his TikTok account, with over 2.9 million followers and 49.7 million likes.
Bailey started his TikTok account in December 2020, where he posted original music.
He earns a lot from brand endorsements and partnerships with companies. Collaborations with other artists and appearances in their concerts further strengthen his brand, opening up new income revenues.
